Bench Milling Machine

In taking up the subject of a bench milling machine devoted especially to milling, it is well to consider that the transition from milling in the lathe to the special bench milling machine was bridged by an attachment to the lathe by which the functions of the bench milling machine are well served. This is especially noticeable in the milling attachment attached to bench lathes. The said attachment is mounted on the bed of the lathe and the spindle provided with a milling cutter. This arrangement is used for simple milling operations. Such devices led to the introduction of the bench miller, which is naturally intended for small work only, and therefore is not provided with automatic feeds, hand-feeding by means of levers being used.

The DMC-III Bench Milling machine from ACT Machines is lightweight, low-cost, and compact, yet rigid enough for precision cutting for all metals. Advanced Control Tech is proud to bring you their next generation bench milling machine, the Desktop CNC Machining Center, DMC-III (US Patent No. 7467449). With this new machine you can prototype and test your ideas quickly and easily with this portable bench milling machine. The DMC-III is lightweight, low-cost, and compact, and yet rigid enough for precision cutting for all metals. It is perfect for light industrial operations and prototyping. After four years of research, development, and testing, they are confident the performance and reliability of the DMC-III will meet your needs and beat any system in the market.

ACT Machines' state-of-the-art bench milling machine features a compact, light weight, only 260-lb total system weight, bench milling machine for all metals, a precise ball screws with linear guided rails for all axes, an integrated compact design to a single piece of equipment with professional quality and appearance, machining parts up to 12" x 8" x 6" with machining repeatability accuracy of 0.0001", a fast slew rate at 60 in/min with 0.00008" motion resolution for all axes, 3D contouring capability, an option for 4th rotational axis with cooling system ready, has a lightweight, high-torque brushless digital motor for spindle with variable speed 1,500 to 12,000 rpm, an option for precision 50,000 rpm high speed spindle, a US Patented versatile bench milling machine, easy to use for thin plate milling and drilling functions, it is easily operated from a PC with extended graph display, has a built-in Smart digital controller with optic sensors for safe and reliable operation and finally, a two year extended manufacturer's warranty with 30 days free trial at absolutely no risk.

Advanced Control Tech, known as ACT Machines, is part of GPK Group, Inc., which is a company located in the Los Angeles area of California, USA.
