| Press release Advanced Control Tech is proud to bring you our next generation CNC machine, the Desktop CNC Machining Center, DMC-III (US Patent No. 7467449). Prototype and test your ideas quickly and easily with this portable CNC milling machine. The DMC-III is lightweight, low-cost, and compact, yet rigid enough for precision cutting for all metals. It is perfect for light industrial operations, mold making and prototyping. After four years of research, development, and testing, we are confident the performance and reliability of the DMC-III will meet your needs and beat any system in the market. DMC-III CNC machine is a gantry design which provides larger
table space to work with. The precision ball screws and the linear guided rails
are used for all 3 axes. The machine frame and the T slot table are built by
cast iron for rigidity. The machining parts can be up to 12” x 8” x 6” with
repeatability within 0.0001”. The popular Mach3 CNC software is used to accept
all standard G codes and M codes. Standard ER11 and ER16 collets are chose for the 1. “Bipolar sine wave” instead of “bipolar chopper” micro step controller is developed for all 3 axes motions. The precision sine wave instead of square wave (chopper algorithm) control scheme provides the highly accurate 0.00008” motion resolution with no harmonic noise. This means that the step motor can provides highly accurate motions for hours continuously without generating heat. There are 5 powerful latest CPU in each CNC machine to implement the controller scheme. 2. Digital controlled brushless motor is used for the spindle driver. This motor is small and light weight but provides high torque and variable speed through digital control. The spindle speed can be directly controlled by CNC software from 1,500 rpm to 12,000 rpm. There is no need for the mechanical gears or variable frequency driver to change the spindle speed. 3. Special designed T slot clamps which can firmly secure the work piece(s) directly on T slot table for machining. No vise required and it occupies little space. 4. Special designed thin plate holding device as an option to secure thin plate (less than 1/8” in thickness) such as PC board or panels for machining. 5. The built-in full protected electronic system. Optical isolation is used to protect PC and controller. The system will automatic shutdown if sense unusual current to protect the motors. The system can be running again by restart the power. All electronics are fully tested through thermal and vibrations cycles and provides highly reliable machine.
The system is very easy to operate from a provided PC with
the extensive graphical display. The 4th rotational axis is also
available as an option. We provide the complete turnkey system includes PC, CNC
software,
